Criw Cymraeg

At Ysgol Yr Esgob, we are constantly striving to use Welsh throughout all aspects of school life. As part of this, we have joined Criw Cymraeg and we are working towards gaining our Silver Award.

We have appointed our Criw Cymraeg, made up of children from each class who are working hard to promote speaking Welsh around the school. They are also helping to spread the news about the ‘Patrwn yr Wythnos/Pattern of the Week’ and encouraging everyone to get involved, children, staff, parents/carers and other visitors. As well as leading weekly assemblies, handing out awards and sharing key welsh role model facts.

Our school is working hard to achieve the Cymraeg Campus Language Charter. We aim to increase the use of Welsh by pupils, staff and the wider school community. We have a further two awards to work towards, silver and gold. We have ten targets to achieve for each award. We are currently working towards our Silver.

Our school has an active Criw Cymraeg – a group of pupils who promote Welsh. Our Criw Cymraeg will lead the Charter.
